In the middle years, we foster student independence as learners, refining their knowledge, understanding and skills, and ensuring that they continue to develop as well-rounded individuals.
This is done by helping students make practical connections to their own world and life experiences and using interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning.
*Grade 6-9 applications are open for Academic Year 2020-2021.
Application for Grade 10 - 12 will be available in the coming years.

Mr. Arturo Ruelas
總校長 Head of Schools
Arturo Ruelas先生在成為美國學(xué)校的校長和中國學(xué)校的總校長之前是一名英語和IB研討會(huì)教師。他擁有傳播學(xué)士學(xué)位、中學(xué)教育和教學(xué)碩士學(xué)位,以及教育領(lǐng)導(dǎo)與政策行政許可。
Mr. Arturo Ruelas was an English and IB seminar teacher prior to becoming a principal in the US, and head of schools in China. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Communications; a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and Teaching; and an Administrative License in Educational Leadership and Policy.
Ms. Ann Gaillard
校長 Principal

Ms. Ann Gaillard has over 20 years of international school experience, having worked in IB World Schools in France, the Philippines, Japan, northern China, Thailand and Oman. She has earned three master’s degrees and is currently a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership. Ms. Gaillard contributes to the IB community as an IBEN continuum workshop leader, MYP school visiting team member, MYP Building Quality Curriculum Reviewer; and MYP candidacy and authorization reader.

Teachers at TWIS have the values, talents and skills to empower students to succeed in an academically rigorous and balanced curriculum. They are educators who meet the following minimum requirements:
Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
Hold a valid teaching license
With a minimum of two years as a licensed teacher including a minimum of one year of experience as a K-12 teacher at an international school or program
We are joined by qualified and experienced teachers from over 10 different countries. As the school adopts English as the primary medium of instruction, teachers' bilingual or multilingual skills will enable students to speak and write fluently in English and learn other world languages.
While 70% of our teachers have more than five years of full-time teaching experience, more than 50% have earned master's degrees and 40% hold additional professional qualifications from IB training. Currently, all of our teachers and teaching assistants are taking IB courses in PYP, MYP and DP to prepare themselves for the implementation of the IB programs.
TWIS students' learning journey is accompanied by our highly-qualified international teachers whose role is to inspire and support students to become independent lifelong learners and equip them with essential skills to excel academically and personally in the 21st century.

Boarding Life

TWIS offers boarding services for students of all ages and grade levels. The School views its boarding program as part of its curriculum that nurtures the whole child. The boarding program provides an environment where students are involved, challenged, well cared for, and given every opportunity to develop independence, responsibility, and confidence.
Each dormitory room is furnished to meet the needs of the boarders. Being a boarder at TWIS adds another dimension to the school experience with the prospect of forging friendships that last a lifetime.

TWIS makes full use of cloud technology, Internet of Things (IoT) technology, the digital technology of resources and advanced technology infrastructure to facilitate innovation, improve the learning experience and keep staff and students safer on the campus.
The 1:1 computer program (iPads for primary and MacBooks for secondary students) provides every TWIS student the opportunities to learn valuable research skills and tools which they can transfer at higher levels of education, at universities and beyond. Technology can be used to enhance critical and creative thinking, technology literacy and problem-solving skills which are significant for 21st-century education.

TWIS is equipped with more than 50 spaces dedicated to STEAM learning, including 15 individual music practice rooms, 12 science labs and 8 MakerSpace rooms so that our students can engage in hands-on experiential learning as often as they want.

Gymnasium & Sports Fields
多用途體育館內(nèi)設(shè)有一個(gè)奧林匹克標(biāo)準(zhǔn)游泳池、室內(nèi)籃球場、及可容納1,000多人的禮堂。

Our sports complex includes an Olympic-size indoor swimming pool, indoor basketball courts, and an auditorium accommodating 1,000 people.
We also have over 10 outdoor sports venues, including a 400m track and field, a standard 11-a-side football pitch, basketball and volleyball courts.
