這個月我們參觀了許多來自世界各地的大學(xué)展位；閱讀日讓大家明白閱讀的重要性；教師節(jié)感激所有很棒教職工；深圳國際藝術(shù)家論壇攝影展是由Carnevale女士帶領(lǐng)的DP2年級視覺藝術(shù)學(xué)生組織的；我們在ISNS清潔日組織清潔社區(qū)活動和中學(xué)部組織清潔寶安大鏟灣活動。

Welcome back to school! We hope you had a great National Holiday.

This is a recap of the major events that happend last month. It was an exciting September at ISNS. We had visits from many universities from all over the world, Literacy Day to stress the importance of reading, Teacher Appreciation day to thank all of our wonderful staff members, an ISZAF Exhibition organized by the DP Year 2 Visual Arts students with Ms. Carnevale, and we cleaned our community by having an ISNS cleanup day and a MYP MUNDO/BOCA beach cleanup. Without further ado, let's look at some exciting moments of September!

ISZAF Treasure

Exhibition

ISZAF“Treasure”展覽

The ISZAF "Treasure" Exhibition is a collection of 100+ works selected from a group of 15 artists. The show is curated by Mrs. Gloria Carnevale and her DP Year 2 students—Johnson, Michelle, Emily, Annie, and Lynfid. This is a precious experience for these students because they learned how to pick a topic for an exhibition, how to choose the best works out of numerous submissions and making them coherent, how to set up the exhibition space, and how to deal with bumps along the way. In the end, the opening night had more than 100 guests and the exhibition has been a blast!

ISZAF“Treasure”展覽是從15位藝術(shù)家中選出的100多件作品的集合。該節(jié)目由Gloria Carnevale老師和她的DP二年級學(xué)生——Johnson, Michelle, Emily, Annie, 和 Lynfid策劃。對于這些學(xué)生來說，這是一次寶貴的經(jīng)歷，因為他們學(xué)會了如何選擇一個展覽的主題，如何從眾多的提交材料中選擇最好的作品并使其連貫一致，如何設(shè)置展覽空間，以及如何處理沿途的困難。最后，開幕式當晚有100多位嘉賓到場，展會轟動一時!

Festival Celebrations

中秋節(jié)慶祝

As part of the annual celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival, our ISNS Parent Association gathered and decorated the ISNS Atrium with beautiful lanterns that were adorned with a diverse range of riddles. Students and staff worked together to try and solve each one and were successful. The sound of excitement and revelation as riddles were being answered was palpable.

一年一度的中秋節(jié)來臨之際，ISNS家委會的家長們早早地來到學(xué)校中庭集合并開始裝點猜燈謎活動--掛起五顏六色的燈籠，每個燈籠都懸掛著一道猜燈謎題目。學(xué)生和老師們通力合作，最后都成功地答對了。當謎底正確揭曉時，現(xiàn)場一度充滿了興奮的氣息。在此感謝家委會的家長們準備了這么有趣的一年一度的活動。

Literacy Day: Drop Everything and Read

閱讀日：放下一切閱讀起來

Students and teachers at ISNS observed International Literacy Day on Friday, September 6th participating in a Drop Everything and Read event, where they stopped what they are doing at the moment and read. Literacy Day started with the playing of "All About them Books” . This song signaled the students and teachers to converge on the soccer field with books in hand. Despite the heat, everyone persevered and showed great stamina as they remained engrossed in reading. We look forward to Drop Everything and Read next year!

9月6日(星期五)是國際掃盲日，學(xué)校的學(xué)生和老師參加了一個“放下一切去閱讀”活動。大家紛紛停下了手頭的學(xué)業(yè)與工作開始閱讀。掃盲日是由播放“All About Them Books”這首歌開始。歌曲播放開始后學(xué)生和老師們手拿書本在足球場上集合準備閱讀。盡管天氣炎熱，每個人都堅持下來了。大家紛紛在全神貫注地讀書時表現(xiàn)出了極大的毅力。我們期待著明年放下一切去閱讀!

ISNS MYP Beach Clean Up

ISNS MYP海灘清潔

19 students from grades 7 to 11 participated in an event set up by MUNDO (Eco Squad at the Shenzhen College of International Education) and BOCA (Shenzhen Blue Ocean Conservation Association) for the Global Cleanup Day this year with Mr. Mariek Kocay and Mr. Andrew Robinson. It was a really great morning and students picked up a lot of garbage at ChangDa beach!

19名7至11年級的學(xué)生和Mr. Mariek Kocay和Mr. Andrew Robinson一同參加了MUNDO(深圳國際教育學(xué)院生態(tài)班)和BOCA(深圳藍海保護協(xié)會)為今年全球清潔日共同舉辦的活動。這是一個非常棒的早晨，學(xué)生們在大鏟灣海灘上撿了很多垃圾!

ISNS PYP Community Cleanup

ISNS PYP社區(qū)清潔日

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, dozens of ISNS PYP students and teachers joined active citizens around the world to participate in World Clean-Up Day 2019.

Armed with gloves and pick-up sticks, students picked up trash on ISNS grounds and the streets in our community. We focused on picking up cigarette butts—to become aware of these small but powerfully pollutant pieces of litter.

2019年9月21日，星期六，許多ISNS PYP的學(xué)生和老師作為世界的積極環(huán)保份子參加了2019年世界清潔日。

我們的小孩子們手戴手套撿起遺留的棍子，學(xué)生撿起ISNS校園和社區(qū)附近街道的垃圾。我們的學(xué)生撿起了很多煙頭和諸多細小但卻污染力強的垃圾。

Teacher Appreciation Day

教師節(jié)

The ISNS community celebrated our teachers during the International Teacher's Day for their commitment to developing globally responsible and compassionate young people each and every day both inside and outside the classroom. Our enthusiastic students recorded a video to thank our teachers for all their help and support both in life and in academic studies.

ISNS社區(qū)在教師節(jié)當日感謝我們的教師們，感謝他們不管何時何地都致力于培養(yǎng)具有社會責(zé)任心和同情心的學(xué)生。學(xué)生們錄了視頻來感謝老師們在學(xué)業(yè)上的幫助和生活中的支持。

ISNS hosts Universities

ISNS大學(xué)巡展

This past month ISNS hosted a plethora of universities. Each visit provided our students with the opportunity to meet with each representative to learn more about what each univeristy provided in regards to their community and programs. With each visit, students were able to not only expand their possibilities but also hone in on what is important to them.

過去的一個月ISNS接待了多所大學(xué)。我校的學(xué)生根據(jù)自己的社區(qū)和課程情況和各所大學(xué)的代表進行了溝通交流，并從各所大學(xué)處獲得自己所要了解的信息。每一次的交流，學(xué)生們不止延伸了自己的可能性還摸索出了什么對自己重要。

It was a busy and event filled September.

這真的是一個忙碌而充實的九月呀。
