Boy's Volleyball Team

RDF Boy's Volleyball had a great first game. Our first game the opposing team got a quick lead by several points while we were trying to get things going. It was a tense start, but our boys were able to keep calm and make a great comeback. Sadly, despite the comeback, we had a close loss so we went into game two with a lot of pressure.

In the second game we flipped the tables and had a comfortable lead late in the game. A couple close line calls that went in favor of QSI brought the game to a tie. QSI had some great plays to wrap up the second game with another win.

Despite the loss our boys displayed great skill and sportsmanship. They really have nothing to be discouraged about and we move forward excited for our next game.

Girls' Volleyball Team

The RDF girls volleyball team lost a couple of close matches to QSI yesterday. Even though you could tell that the other team was more experienced, the RDF girls played well and put up a good fight. It’s really fun to watch them start to come together as a team, and to see their 2-3 years of experience come into play in regards to passing, setting, and hitting the ball. At this point, we are not defining success with points on the scoreboard. Our success is measured in continuing to improve, learning this difficult game, and coming together as a team. Those are the things that we felt success with on Monday, and will continue to improve and find more and more success with as our season continues.
