ISNS K5學生昂首邁進一年級 ISNS K5 students walk confidently into Grade 1
Yesterday was a great day of celebration. Not only did we celebrate our Grade 12 students, but we also took the opportunity to celebrate our K5 students. Like our older students, our young ones took to the red carpet and walked proudly as they shared this hallmark moment with their parents, teachers and classmates. As part of the IB education, reflection is one of the key attributes that our students are encouraged to practice and embody. We take this time to reflect with our K5 teachers on their fondest memories, greatest area of growth as a class and the activities they did this year.
昨天是慶典之日,我們不僅慶祝了12年級學生順利畢業(yè),同時慶祝了K5孩子們幼兒園畢業(yè)。和12年級的畢業(yè)生一樣,K5的學生們舉行了走紅毯儀式,他們滿懷著驕傲走上紅毯,在場的家長,同學和老師們一同見證了這一特別的時刻。作為IB課程體系當中重要的組成部分,反思是學習過程中必不可少的環(huán)節(jié)。在此,我們利用這一機會,和K5的老師們回顧了這一年中她們最難忘的經(jīng)歷,以及作為一個班級整體,孩子們?nèi)〉米畲蟪砷L進步的方面,最后總結我們本學年的精彩活動。
Q: What are your fondest memories from this year?
A: “My fondest memory of this year was the K5 Spring Festival celebration! The whole day was filled with fun activities. It was great having the parents come in and teach us teachers some new things about Chinese culture. The students really enjoyed sharing their culture with their teachers.”—Mrs. Rebecca Rogers
問:你這一年當中最難忘的經(jīng)歷是什么?
答:“我最難忘的經(jīng)歷是K5慶祝春節(jié)的活動!那天我們進行了各種有趣的活動。邀請家長來參與活動,并且我們這些來自國外的老師通過他們了解了許多中國文化方面的事情實在是非常棒。學生們也非常樂于將自己了解的中國文化知識與老師分享?!薄狹rs. Rebecca Rogers

“I enjoyed Play Day, where our students enjoyed playing the whole day; along with our split milk activity, where students went to the soccer field to observe and record what clouds look liked and then of course graduation! Q: What area did you see the greatest growth in your class?
A: “The greatest area of growth in my class overall is the increase of independence in the students. They learn how to do everything from holding a pencil, to writing their name, to using their thinking and creativity to create and invent new things on their own. It’s truly amazing to witness.”—Mrs. Rebecca Rogers
問:你覺得你們班的學生成長進步最大的方面是哪些?
答:“整體上,我們班成長進步最大的方面是學生的獨立性增強了很多。他們學會了自己做很多事情,從握筆,到寫自己的名字,到運用自己的創(chuàng)造力和思考力創(chuàng)造和發(fā)明新的東西。能夠見證他們的成長,我感到非常開心?!薄狹rs. Rebecca Rogers

“Friendships! K5B has grown so much in their ability to express their feelings in respectful ways. They have learned numerous calm down strategies and are able to apply them when needed. Students are confident to approach new students on the playground and invite others to play. I am very proud of the progress they have made in their ability to express themselves, to make friends, and to remember to use I-messages when trying to solve their own issues.” —Ms. Amy Atwell

What an amazing year it has been, and we are excited to see what they will be doing next year as Grade 1 students.
