加拿大法官歐文?蘭伯特訪問深圳（南山）中加學(xué)校

5月5日，從加拿大蒙克頓?新不倫瑞克省法院退休的法官歐文?蘭伯特先生來訪我校，并開展了法律講座，向?qū)W生講述了加拿大的法律及合法行為。自2005年以來，蘭伯特法官一直在訪問各中加學(xué)校，向?qū)W生們介紹他們?cè)谠L問或居住加拿大時(shí)可能遇到的各種問題。

When you visit a foreign country, you are subject to the laws as they are applied in that country. Many of the laws in Canada are the same as in China, but the interpretation and enforcement may differ. SCCSC students need to be aware of such differences as what may be viewed as non-offending in China may be considered a serious violation in Canada.

蘭伯特法官在講座中提到：“當(dāng)你在訪問另外一個(gè)國家的時(shí)候，你必須遵守該國所適用的法律。加拿大的許多法律與中國的法律相同，但解釋和執(zhí)行可能有所不同。中加學(xué)生需要意識(shí)到這些差異，因?yàn)樵谥袊槐灰暈檫`法的行為，在加拿大可能會(huì)被視為嚴(yán)重違法行為。”

Judge Lampert spoke at length about what defines sexual assault and the penalties for committing sexual assault, the best ways to avoid being a victim of sexual assault, the laws regarding alcohol and illegal drugs, and, importantly, how to say NO to alcohol and drugs. Judge Lampert finished his presentation by describing plagiarism and how plagiarising can negatively affect a person’s future university studies or career.

蘭伯特法官對(duì)性侵犯的定義，以及性侵犯的懲罰，避免成為性侵犯受害者的最佳方法，有關(guān)酒精和非法藥物的法律等內(nèi)容都進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的解釋，以及最重要的是，如何拒絕酒精和毒品。蘭伯特法官在演講結(jié)束時(shí)，還對(duì)抄襲行為，以及抄襲行為會(huì)給一個(gè)人將來的大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)或職業(yè)生涯產(chǎn)生什么樣負(fù)面影響進(jìn)行了闡述。

Judge Lampert encourages our students to avoid problems with the law - hang out with good friends and avoid places where they may get into trouble. He wishes our students would not drink alcohol or use drugs, as people who abuse these substances are usually the people who commit crimes.

除此之外，蘭伯特法官還鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生們要去結(jié)交品行好的朋友，避免參與任何違法活動(dòng)。他希望學(xué)生們不要喝酒或吸毒，避免犯罪。

The laws in Canada are similar to those in most Western countries. Judge Lampert hopes that by listening to a veteran Provincial Court Judge our students will know how to avoid any issues with the law.

加拿大的法律與大多數(shù)西方國家的法律相似。蘭伯特法官希望通過聽取他的講座，學(xué)生們將知道如何避免牽扯到與法律有關(guān)的任何事情，規(guī)范自己的行為。
