Hello everyone, my name is Jerry from Maple leaf school Grade 6 class1. Today I’m going to share how I began to love reading and how I am happily growing and enjoying study in Maple Leaf school.

大家好，我是楓葉學(xué)校六年級(jí)的張俊哲。今天我要分享我是如何開始熱愛閱讀，以及我是如何在楓葉學(xué)?？鞓返某砷L(zhǎng)和喜愛學(xué)習(xí)的。

There is a big library in our school, which is especially bright, comfortable, beautiful and rich in resources. Every one of us has a reading bank account and a small basket. The more books you read, the higher the score you can get, and then you can use the score to exchange for the little things you like. There is a 5 minutes read to yourself time everyday morning. At the beginning I just wanted to get a lot of points to trade for automatic pencila, but slowly, I found that I can understand most of the books in the small basket.

在我們學(xué)校有一個(gè)特別明亮，舒適，漂亮的，擁有豐富資源的大圖書館。我們每個(gè)人會(huì)有一本閱讀銀行卡和一個(gè)閱讀書籍的小籃框，你可以憑借讀書打卡積攢積分來(lái)?yè)Q取自己喜歡的小物品，每天外教上課前都會(huì)有一個(gè)5分鐘自己安靜閱讀的時(shí)間，剛開始我只是想獲得很多的積分去換我喜歡的自動(dòng)鉛筆，慢慢地我發(fā)現(xiàn)籃筐里的書籍，我都可以看懂了。

During the evening study time, I found that there are a lot of things that can be written in English diary. So I started to keep an English journal. Ms. May encouraged me to read books that were displayed based on difficulty levels in the back of the classroom, and also she asked my classmates to accompany me reading. I found that I have been very interested in a lot of books. Ms. May sometimes asked us to take the books to the cafeteria so that we can read to each other after dinner. Sometimes, I can really use my imagination while reading the picture books and share my own ideas with my classmates. For some picture books I can even predict the end of the story.

晚自習(xí)的時(shí)間，我發(fā)現(xiàn)英文日記好像可以有很多事項(xiàng)可以寫進(jìn)去，老師就鼓勵(lì)我到教室后面一些陳列的書籍找難度更深一點(diǎn)的閱讀，還讓英文比我好的同學(xué)陪我一起閱讀，慢慢地我發(fā)現(xiàn)很多的書籍讓我非常感興趣。老師有的時(shí)候會(huì)讓我們把圖書隨身攜帶，茶余飯后我們也可以與同學(xué)們一起閱讀，我可以根據(jù)繪本里的故事發(fā)揮自己的想象跟同學(xué)說(shuō)出我自己的想法，有的繪本我真的還可以預(yù)測(cè)故事的結(jié)局。

In the past, I was urged by my mother to do my homework and forced to read English. I used to be reminded by my teachers to read every day. But gradually, I could keep my own diary in English. I gave up my ONLY favorite books---military books.

我原本被媽媽督促著寫作業(yè)，被媽媽“逼著”讀英語(yǔ)，曾經(jīng)是每日被老師提醒閱讀的我，慢慢地，自己可以寫英文日記，慢慢地, 我放棄了曾唯一感興趣的軍事類書籍, 而是有了廣泛的興趣。

Later, I went to the library to borrow other English books. The English books in the library were graded, so I could easily find the books I liked to read. I also commented on the characters in the stories in class and Shared with others. My reading life began without my knowing it.

再后來(lái)我就跑去圖書館借閱其它的英文書籍，圖書館內(nèi)的英文書籍都進(jìn)行了分級(jí)管理，一目了然就可以找到我喜歡閱讀的書籍，我還在課堂上評(píng)論故事中的人物分享給大家，我的閱讀生涯就這樣在不知不覺中開始了。

It was the project-based learning method that changed me greatly. It's helped me enjoy my study every day. Once my teacher said: "Don't just writing answers in your note-book. You are a thinker and stylist; never forget that what you should communicate to people is your thought rather than your answers. You need put your personality together with your interest and ability into your study."

項(xiàng)目式學(xué)習(xí)的方法徹底改變了我的學(xué)習(xí)方式，讓我每天都是在歡樂中完成自己的學(xué)習(xí)。有一次我的老師說(shuō):“你不是在你的筆記本上寫答案，你是思想家和設(shè)計(jì)師;永遠(yuǎn)不要忘記你應(yīng)該向人們展示的是你的思想，而不是答案?！澳阈枰诤夏愕膫€(gè)性與你的興趣和能力到你的研究。

We were happily busy every day, designing and making shoes with teacher Dylan, searching for the secrets of the universe, learning how muscles work, and helping birds create the right environment for life.

我們每天非?？鞓返孛β担覀兒虳YLAN老師一起設(shè)計(jì)和制作鞋子，找宇宙的秘密，了解肌肉的運(yùn)動(dòng)原理，幫助鳥類創(chuàng)造合適的生存的環(huán)境.

I feel that my knowledge is not enough. I need to communicate with my classmates and foreign teachers. I need to know more things of world, so that I can join their team and share my works with children all over the world.

每天的學(xué)習(xí)中感覺到自己的知識(shí)不夠用，我要跟同學(xué)們，外教老師溝通思想，我要懂得更多的知識(shí)，我才能加入他們侃侃而談的隊(duì)伍，我才能把我的作品分享給世界各地的小朋友看。

Therefore, I plunged into reading and could not stop. Reading all kinds of books every day made me free like the wind and I can communicate more easily what I want to say. At school, I often borrow books from our library. I borrowed 72 books last semester!

所以我扎進(jìn)了閱讀地海洋一發(fā)而不可收，只有每天閱讀各種書籍來(lái)才能讓我可以乘風(fēng)破浪，暢所欲言，在學(xué)校我經(jīng)常跑出教室到圖書館借書，有一學(xué)期我借讀了72本書。

I like to read books mostly because it can help me a lot on study.

我喜歡讀書，主要是因?yàn)樗軒椭覍W(xué)習(xí)。

I hope I can read more books, about 4 books a day.

我希望我能讀更多的書，大約每天讀4本繪本圖書。

I want to be a historian when I grow up.

我長(zhǎng)大后想當(dāng)一名歷史學(xué)家。

Reading helps me a lot. I learn lots of history through reading books.

閱讀對(duì)我有很大幫助，我在書中學(xué)到了很多歷史知識(shí)。

I like history because it is fascinating! I'll know many many things that happened in ancient times!

歷史對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)太神奇了，有那么多的秘密所以我想成為一名歷史學(xué)家去探索過(guò)去。

"This is my future. It all starts here. After playing basketball, quietly reading a book, I will feel very relaxed, very happy. I use one old saying to finish my story: “Learning without thinking is useless, while thinking without learning is dangerous.”

”這是我的未來(lái)，所有的從這里開始。打完籃球，安靜地讀讀書，我會(huì)感到很放松，很愉快。”總有一句話一直在告訴我要努力學(xué)習(xí)，”學(xué)而不思則罔，思而不學(xué)則殆?！?/span>

Reading made me learn and understand to become a good boy and an integrated person with good health, ability to take on important tasks and to judge right and wrong, and an open mind to express independent and intensive thought. Of course, a student with a perfect school life.

閱讀讓我學(xué)習(xí)和和懂得如何成為一個(gè)好男孩，一個(gè)完整的人，有一個(gè)良好的身體，可以承擔(dān)重要的任務(wù)，有獨(dú)立的思想，一個(gè)開放的思想，密集的思想，有能力判斷正確和錯(cuò)誤，有一個(gè)完美的學(xué)校生活。
