喜報(bào)-深圳（南山）中加學(xué)校高三畢業(yè)生獲英國(guó)圣安德魯斯大學(xué)錄取

截止至4月20日，我校高三學(xué)生劉宗昊（Chris）收到英國(guó)圣安德魯斯大學(xué)（University of St Andrews）的錄取通知書。

圣安德魯大學(xué)為一所坐落于英國(guó)蘇格蘭東海岸古鎮(zhèn)圣安德魯斯之公立大學(xué)。圣安德魯大學(xué)乃蘇格蘭最古老大學(xué)，英語(yǔ)世界中繼牛津大學(xué)與劍橋大學(xué)后，第三古老大學(xué)。該大學(xué)成立于1410年，當(dāng)時(shí)一群奧古斯丁神職人員從阿維尼翁分裂派的巴黎大學(xué)，到盎格魯-蘇格蘭戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)從牛津大學(xué)和劍橋大學(xué)驅(qū)逐，在圣安德魯斯建立了一個(gè)高等教育學(xué)會(huì)，講授神性、邏輯、哲學(xué)和法律的講座課程。

The University of St Andrews is a public university located in St Andrews, the ancient town on the east coast of Scotland, UK. Following Oxford and Cambridge universities, it is the third-oldest university in the United Kingdom and English-speaking world.The university was founded in 1410 when a group of Augustinian clergy, driven from the University of Paris by the Avignon schism and from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge by the Anglo-Scottish Wars, formed a society of higher learning in St Andrews, which offered courses of lectures in divinity, logic, philosophy, and law.

In the latest national league tables, the university is ranked second in the UK by The Guardianand within the top three in others. It has been twice named "University of the Year" by The Times and Sunday Times' Good University Guide, one of only two UK universities to achieve this. In 2019, St Andrews had the third-highest entry standard of undergraduate admission in the UK, after Oxford and Cambridge, and attained an average UCAS Entry Tariff of 207 points. The Times Higher Education World Universities Ranking names St Andrews among the world's Top 50 universities for Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities. St Andrews has consistently held the highest student satisfaction scores amongst all multi-faculty universities in the United Kingdom.
