柏朗思學(xué)校新學(xué)期的開學(xué)計劃

Dear Parents and Students

親愛的家長、同學(xué)們

After careful consideration, BMH announces our intention to reopen our campus for on-site learning on Monday 23 March 2020. This decision was reached after reviewing Provincial and Municipal guidance, as well as the practice of other schools, and with a commitment to safety as our top priority. Please accept our deep thanks for all you have been doing as parents and students to prepare for and engage with our Distance Learning, which has been widely praised. As good as it has been, the reality of the situation is that it is the human element that allows for the most powerful learning to occur as confirmed by your survey feedback. As such, once we return to school we will also be offering extra days of schooling to ensure we are fulfilling each student’s right to developmentally appropriate and powerful education. In light of this, the following plans have been made:

經(jīng)慎重考慮，我們宣布柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校計劃于2020 年 3月23日(星期一)重新開放校園進行在校學(xué)習(xí)。此決定參考了省、市政府的指引和其他學(xué)校的做法，并保證安全是我們的首要任務(wù)。過去一段時間家長和同學(xué)們都積極準備并參與到我們廣受好評的遠程學(xué)習(xí)中來，我們對此深表感謝。教學(xué)情況日益精進得益于您提供的調(diào)查反饋意見，也正是各方的付出促成了如此強大的學(xué)習(xí)。因此，學(xué)校復(fù)課后，我們還將向?qū)W生提供額外的在校補課日，以確保孩子們獲得適當發(fā)展和接 受強有力教育的權(quán)利。有鑒于此，我們制定了以下計劃：

本學(xué)期教學(xué)日

Distance Learning 遠程教學(xué)	Monday 10 February - Friday 13 March 2月10日（星期一）至3月13日（星期五）
In response to parent feedback, we will be reducing the volume of student work and screen time in the weeks ahead while retaining high quality learning opportunities 為了響應(yīng)家長們的反饋，我們將在未來幾周減少學(xué)生作業(yè)量和看屏幕的時間，同時保留高質(zhì)量的 學(xué)習(xí)機會
Preparation Break 準備休息時間	Monday 16 March - Friday 20 March 3月16日（星期一）至3月20日（星期五）
A week of rest for students and staff to ready themselves for the return to on-site schooling. No distance learning thisweek. Self-monitoring forms to be submitted 讓學(xué)生和教職員工休息一周，為返校學(xué)習(xí)做好準備。本周沒有遠程學(xué)習(xí)。需提交自我監(jiān)控表格
On Site Schooling 在校上課	Monday 23 March - Friday 10 July 3月23日（星期一）至 7月10日（星期五）
Adding another week at the end of the school year and including June 26 as a teaching day, which had been a Staff Planning Day 在學(xué)年結(jié)束時增加一周上課時間，并將 6 月 26 日的集體教研日調(diào)整為學(xué)生教學(xué)日
Spring Break 春假	Wednesday 29 April - Friday 1 May inclusive 4月29日（星期三）至 5月1日（星期五，含）
Reducing the Spring Break to allow for an additional two days of learning, while retaining a long weekend to allow for rest and recuperation 縮短春假，以多上兩天課，同時保留長周末，以便休息和恢復(fù)精力
Saturday School Days 周六補課日	March 28, April 11 & 25, May9 & 23, June6 & 20, July 4 3月28日 、4月11-25日、5月9-23日、6月6-20日及7月4 日
Offered for K1-P6 students in Term 2 on a fortnightly basis 本學(xué)期為幼兒園小班至六年級的學(xué)生提供每兩周一次的周六補課
Summer School 夏校	August 10-14 and 17-21 8月10-14日及17-21日
2 weeks of optional summer school for all students from K1-P6 atno additional charge 為幼兒園小班至六年級的所有學(xué)生提供 2 周的夏校課程（可選），不收取額外費用
New Academic Year 新學(xué)年	Start date moved forward to Tuesday 25 August 開學(xué)日期提前到 8月25日（星期二）
The coming term will start a week earlier than the previously scheduled September 1 atno additional charge 新學(xué)期將比原定的 9 月 1 日提前一周開學(xué)，不收取額外費用

A detailed safety plan is being constructed for our return; parents, students and teachers should anticipate adjustments to normal schedules including staggered meal times and the observation of mask etiquette. Details will be shared in advance.

In case of any safety required adjustments to the reopening date, the school will inform you as soon as possible.
