Recently, Ms. Jiang's grade 2 class were invited to present their ISNS award-winning Plastic Monster Door decoration project at the Nanshan School Maker Faire.
Students exhibited the Plastic Monster project at the Maker Faire to express their central message—plastic is a monster that harms the ocean. During the exhibition, students collaborated and teamed up to show how plastic bags can be reused through open workshops and explained how they came up with the idea for their door design. In addition to presenting students also had the opportunity to walk around and check out other student-made projects and communicate with other project makers.
From winning a door decorating project at school to showcasing the downside of plastic, our students worked together to creatively showcase how we can use daily objects to share an important message and how we can work together to make a difference.
