音樂(lè)周 Music Week丨First Overseas Tour & International Competition

6th June 2019 marked MIS’s first ever overseas school trip. The School choir headed to Singapore & Malaysia for 5 days, visiting St Joseph’s Institution International School, Marlborough College Malaysia and Calvary Children’s Orphanage. MIS gave performances and enjoyed many trips to the surrounding tourist attractions. The aim of the trip was to help bond the choir as a group, make connections and most of all give our students the chance to visit these wonderful countries and make new friendships.

MIS第一次海外游學(xué)團(tuán)在6月6日出發(fā)了——校合唱團(tuán)前往新加坡和馬來(lái)西亞開(kāi)展為期5天的演出之旅。在St Joseph國(guó)際學(xué)校、Marlborough大學(xué)和Calvary兒童福利院，MIS合唱團(tuán)進(jìn)行了演出，并沿途周游。本次音樂(lè)游學(xué)之旅把 MIS合唱團(tuán)聯(lián)系成為一個(gè)更加緊密的團(tuán)體，學(xué)生們一起游歷了有趣的國(guó)家，結(jié)交了新的朋友。

During the tour the choir visited St Joseph's Institution International, an international school in Singapore. They enjoyed a music workshop in the morning, before a joint rehearsal session in preparation for their combined performance for the Elementary School assembly. Friendships were forged and lots of beautiful singing took place.

在參觀訪問(wèn)新加坡St Joseph國(guó)際學(xué)校期間， MIS合唱團(tuán)和當(dāng)?shù)貙W(xué)生聯(lián)合彩排，并隨后為該校小學(xué)生們獻(xiàn)上了一場(chǎng)精彩的音樂(lè)表演。第一次合作，孩子們用美妙的歌聲結(jié)下了深刻的友誼。

The Music tour also visited The Calvary Children’s Orphanage, where MIS students interacted with and performed for the young residents - a truly enriching and rewarding experience. MIS then arrived at Marlborough College Malaysia, who hosted lunch before inviting the students to perform to their Years 3-6 students. Our performers did superbly well, and staff and students alike were thoroughly entertained throughout the performance. On returning to Singapore the students were treated to lots of fun at Universal Studios, Garden by the Bay and Marina Bay Singapore.

而拜訪Calvary兒童福利院則是另一場(chǎng)有益的社會(huì)實(shí)踐活動(dòng)——MIS合唱團(tuán)帶領(lǐng)福利院的孩子們體驗(yàn)音樂(lè)的節(jié)拍，為福利院的孩子們表演音樂(lè)。隨后， MIS合唱團(tuán)為馬來(lái)西亞Marlborough大學(xué)三到六年級(jí)學(xué)生們帶來(lái)了精彩的音樂(lè)演出，并獲得了師生們的一致好評(píng)。接下來(lái)的兩天，學(xué)生們還在當(dāng)?shù)剡M(jìn)行了觀光活動(dòng)。

Added to this successful music tour, on Saturday 15 June, at 3 pm, MIS will host the finals of the International Schools Musician of The Year competition. A wide range of international schools are sending their top musical talent to compete for the title in the Castle Hall.

而在本周六(6月15日)下午3點(diǎn)，MIS將協(xié)辦“2019年國(guó)際學(xué)校音樂(lè)家比賽”。各大國(guó)際學(xué)校都將派出他們的頂尖音樂(lè)人才來(lái)MIS的Castle Hall角逐冠軍席位。

The first round, based on video recordings, was judged in May by members of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. MIS has strong links with the RCS that include masterclasses for our students from world-renowned visiting professors, and the employment of an RCS-trained Musician in Residence at the school.

該大賽初賽階段由蘇格蘭皇家音樂(lè)學(xué)院(RCS)擔(dān)任評(píng)委。MIS一直和RCS保持著長(zhǎng)期友好關(guān)系，其中包括世界著名客座教授為MIS學(xué)生開(kāi)設(shè)大事課程及聘用RCS培養(yǎng)的音樂(lè)家常駐校園。

The Adjudicators are Weipeng Lu and Bi Jun Mao, both exceptionally distinguished musicians in the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra.

決賽評(píng)委來(lái)自州音樂(lè)樂(lè)團(tuán)的杰出音樂(lè)家，Weipeng Lu和Bi Jun Mao。
