選擇中加，環(huán)顧美麗的新世界
我在中考志愿單上很任性地只填寫了一個學(xué)校，留下一整面空白的格子，那個學(xué)校就是中加。我的中考分?jǐn)?shù)是414分，我沒有給自己去普高的機(jī)會。在初中的時候，我只是一個平凡普通的個體，在人群中游走，卻從未探出腦袋。感覺自己有能力和潛力，卻沒有發(fā)揮的空間、展示的平臺，由此一來，很多本可以讓我更自信的能力，被分?jǐn)?shù)至上的應(yīng)試體系埋藏起來，這一度讓我很自卑。
幸運(yùn)的是，經(jīng)過多方面的了解，以及和家人反復(fù)權(quán)衡后，我選擇了中加，一所充滿無限機(jī)遇的校園。在這里，每個人都有發(fā)光發(fā)亮的機(jī)會，而不只是冷冰冰的成績。我做了三年的文娛委員，發(fā)揮自己的音樂強(qiáng)項(xiàng)和領(lǐng)導(dǎo)能力帶領(lǐng)班級登上一個個華麗的大舞臺;我可以在我的作文本上寫小說，寫詩，寫散文，得到老師的贊賞和認(rèn)可;我可以大膽的去參加各種校內(nèi)外活動，去鄉(xiāng)村支教，和同學(xué)創(chuàng)建公益組織，去做一些以前從未想過的事情，我仿佛終于從地洞里鉆出了腦袋，睜大眼睛環(huán)顧這美麗的新世界。
敲開了通往新世界的大門

很快，心態(tài)上的改變也反應(yīng)在我的學(xué)習(xí)成績上。三年下來，我的GPA穩(wěn)定在92分，我的理科比較弱，所以AP對我來說很難，我也一度想放棄過，但我的微積分老師和經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)老師都對我有著超強(qiáng)的耐心，他們幫我制定獨(dú)一無二的學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃，課下花大量時間幫我講題輔導(dǎo)，最后這兩門AP都拿到了優(yōu)秀。再說到托福，我的第一次托福分?jǐn)?shù)只有72分，一年時間內(nèi)我的托福上百，最終成績是105分。我對英語是由衷的熱愛，我會花課余時間去看美劇，看英文電影，聽英文歌，讀英文小說，想事情的時候，也會不自覺地說英文，用英文去思考，去和同學(xué)博弈。這樣一來我的英語語感變的很強(qiáng)，我的用詞，語音語調(diào)都更加地道，考試的分?jǐn)?shù)自然也就提升了。
截至目前，我已經(jīng)收到了9所大學(xué)的offer，包括加拿大的多倫多大學(xué)、卡爾頓大學(xué)、美國的東北大學(xué)、加州大學(xué)戴維斯分校、加州大學(xué)圣克魯茲分校、聯(lián)合學(xué)院(文理學(xué)院)、薩拉勞倫斯文理學(xué)院、福特漢姆大學(xué)和我最心儀的喬治華盛頓大學(xué)?；厥走^往，感謝中加為我打開了新世界的大門，我發(fā)揮了我的特長，我找到了我熱愛的事情。
站上更大的舞臺，感謝我的老師
高一剛?cè)雽W(xué)時，我就有了做主持人的機(jī)會，站在15周年校慶的舞臺上，我發(fā)現(xiàn)了我與舞臺的緣分以及對舞臺的熱愛。于是我站上了更多更大的舞臺，我參加了全國英語演講比賽，并拿到了銀牌;在TED 深圳賽區(qū)的比賽上暢談了我對于當(dāng)代女權(quán)的看法，成功進(jìn)入決賽成為前十名;又去澳洲參加了心心念念的世界級學(xué)者杯辯論賽，為期五天的體驗(yàn)讓我大開眼界。這些機(jī)會讓我有了更高的起點(diǎn)，我看到了許多以前不會注意到的社會問題，并想用自己的力量去解決它們，這也讓我在選擇大學(xué)和專業(yè)時有著非常清晰的方向。
在這些比賽的背后，少不了我的英語老師，語文老師，外教老師無限的鼓勵和支持，他們從來不會因?yàn)槲业囊淮问《鴮ξ沂窃谖沂б獾臅r候和我談心，無論是生活上的還是學(xué)習(xí)上的。記得不知道多少次，我的班主任老師發(fā)現(xiàn)了我的沮喪后主動來關(guān)心我，我可以勇敢的在她面前袒露我的脆弱，說出我的不堪，就像在自己家人面前一樣，劉老師用自己的切身體會來指引我，給我希望，這讓我的心里一直很溫暖，這份溫暖一直推著我前進(jìn)。
來到中加，從一開始就不是偶然，到最后我依然心存感激，我找到了自信和自我，我變成我曾經(jīng)想成為的那個人，這是我的高中三年，充實(shí)而快樂。這也許也會是你的高中三年，希望你也能不留遺憾，大展身手。

SCCSC, a study palace,
presents me a beautiful world
I only filled in one school, SCCSC, on the high school application form. I got 414 points in the high school entrance examination but never considered studying in any public schools in Shenzhen.I was so ordinary that no one even noticed me in middle school. However, I always believed that I hadsomeabilities that need to be explored.The only thing I need is a platform, which enables me to fulfil my potentials.
Fortunately, after several discussion and consideration with my family, I chose SCCSC which provides unlimited opportunities. Here, everyone is shining and making miracles. For example, I had been a member of Arts and Music Club for three years, which developed my strengths in music. I could write novels, poems and getting teacher’s praise made me brave to engage into more activities in and off campus such as being a volunteer teacher in remote villages, establishing the non-profit organization. All these experience enriched my high school studying.

Soon, the change in mentality was also reflected in my academic performance. After three years, my GPA was stable at 92 but my science was weak. In this situation, my calculus teacher and economics teacher were super supportive and patient. They helped me to design a unique learning plan based on my learning habits and they sacrificed their free time to be my tutors, and finally the two APs reaped good scores. When it comes to TOEFL, my first TOEFL score was only 72 points. One year later, my TOEFL was one hundred, and the recent final score is 105 points. How could it be? I spent most of my spare time watching American TV shows, English movies and listening to English songs, reading English novels. By emerging in authentic English materials, I developed the ability to think and speak in English patterns spontaneously. That’s why my English level improved fast.I still need to perfectmy words, voice and intonation.
As of now, I have received offers from nine universities, including the University of Toronto in Canada, Carleton University, Northeastern University in the United States, University of California at Davis, University of California, Santa Cruz, Union College (Faculty of Arts and Sciences), Sara Lawrence College of Arts and Sciences, Fordham University and my favorite George Washington University. Looking back, I deeply appreciated that SCCSC openedme the door to a beautiful new world where I played my specialty and found my passion.
Standing on the bigger stage;
expressing my sincere thanks to my teachers
When entered school in Grade 10, I had the opportunity to be a host. On the stage of the 15th anniversary celebration, I discovered my magnet with the stage. After this, I participated in the National English Speech Contest and won the silver medal. I talked about my views on contemporary feminism in the TED Shenzhen competition and successfully entered the finals to become the top ten; I went to Australia to participate in the World Class Scholars Cup debate, and the five-day experience is an eye-opener. These special and valuable experiences have given me a higher standard to be an international school student. I have seen afew social weaknesses that I would not have noticed before, and I figured out ways to solve them at last. This also laid a foundation on my way to choose universities and majors.
Behind these competitions, my English teacher, language teacher, and foreign teacherinfinitely encouraged and supported me all the way along. They never gave up me even though I made someerrors. They raised me up when I was frustrated. Life is full of learning. I can bravely reveal my vulnerability in front of and my homeroom teacher without feeling embarrassed, because I know my homeroom teacher will remind me that I am unbearable, just like my parents. These warm moments guided me and encouraged me to move forward.
I know when I came to SCCSSC, it was not accidentalat the beginning. In the end, I was still grateful. I built self-confidence. I became the one I wanted to be. This is my high school for three years, intensivebut happy. This may also be your high school for three years. I hope you will never miss it.
