Dear Families,

親愛的各位家長(zhǎng)，

The Winter Celebration and Performances were delightful, as were the dances and the spirit of Christmas festivity,which has lingered in the air this week!

冬季慶典和表演令人感到無比的愉快，圣誕節(jié)的喜慶舞蹈和喜悅的精神，徘徊在本周校園的天空!

Congratulations on making it to the end of the semester. You studied much, your tests are finished, and you are becoming great young men and women with great hopes and goals.

祝賀你在這一學(xué)期的學(xué)習(xí)，已經(jīng)到了即將結(jié)束的時(shí)候。在這一年里你學(xué)到了很多的知識(shí)，你的考試也都已經(jīng)完成，你們正在成為有偉大的希望和目標(biāo)的青年人。

Your teachers, your administrators, and all the schools’ employees all celebrate your good growth with you. They and I love you, and will help you become great and do good in the world.

你的老師，管理人員和學(xué)校的全體員工都會(huì)與你一起慶祝你的成長(zhǎng)。他們和我一樣愛你，并將幫助你變得偉大，在這個(gè)世界上做得更好。

As you go home for the Winter Break, I encourage you do three things:

當(dāng)你回到家享受著冬季假期時(shí)，我鼓勵(lì)你做這么三件事：

First, express gratitude to the people who have helped you come to where you are today. Look at them with love and say thank you! Thank your teachers. Thank your friends. Thank the cooks, cleaners,and guards. And when you get home, definitely thank your parents. Thank anyone who does you good in any way. Whether in person or by text or email, expressing gratitude will fill your heart with love and light. Gratitude helps you seeclearly, and brings love for others.

首先，感謝那些幫助你成長(zhǎng)到今天的人們。用愛的眼神看著他們并說聲謝謝!感謝你的老師。感謝你的朋友們。感謝我們的廚師，清潔工和保安人員。當(dāng)你回到家時(shí)，一定要感謝你的父母。感謝任何以不同方式幫助你的人。無論是親自致謝還是通過短信或電子郵件表達(dá)感激之情，都會(huì)讓他人心中充滿愛與陽(yáng)光。感恩能幫助你清楚地看到愛，并為他人帶來愛的溫暖。

Second, set aside time each day to reflect and envision. The turn of the semester and year is a good time to reflect on your desires and goals. If you want to change, improve, or achieve, write about your desires, and then write a clear vision and a plan. Focus on new habits,and improving your character little by little. When we see our path backward and forward, we can change. So take time to reflect or look backward, and time to envision, or look forward. As you reflect in thinking and writing, your thoughts and path forward will become clear and you will avoid wasting time and making serious mistakes.

第二，每天留出時(shí)間來進(jìn)行反思和設(shè)想。學(xué)期和學(xué)年的空隙，是思考你未來愿望和目標(biāo)的好時(shí)機(jī)。如果您想改變，改進(jìn)，在未來實(shí)現(xiàn)目標(biāo)，請(qǐng)寫下你的愿望，然后寫出清晰的愿景和計(jì)劃。專注于新習(xí)慣，一點(diǎn)一點(diǎn)地改善你的性格。當(dāng)我們能看到我們前進(jìn)的路徑，改變就會(huì)發(fā)生。因此，我們都需要時(shí)間來思考或回看，及時(shí)反思。當(dāng)你在思考和寫作的時(shí)候，你的思想和前進(jìn)的道路將變得清晰，你將能夠避免時(shí)間的浪費(fèi)和避免嚴(yán)重錯(cuò)誤的發(fā)生。

Third, keep learning. Read from a good book every day. Tell someone about what you read. Watch movies that teach history or moral principles that make you want to be better. If something makes you want to be good, it is good. If it makes you want to be bad or treat others badly,avoid it. Read from the best books. This is one of the habits of great people.So, keep learning this break. Enjoy studying and becoming more intelligent every day. It is sometimes difficult to see each day’s progress, but the more you read, talk about what you are learning, and fill your mind with goodness and truth, the more confident you will become in living in a good life.

第三，持續(xù)不斷的學(xué)習(xí)。每天閱讀一本好書，并告訴別人你所讀到的內(nèi)容。觀看一些有意義的歷史或優(yōu)良道德品質(zhì)的電影。如果有什么東西，能啟發(fā)你想要變得更好，那便是再好不過的東西。如果它讓你想要變壞或者以壞的方式對(duì)待別人，那就避免接觸。閱讀最好的書籍，這是無數(shù)杰出人士的習(xí)慣之一。繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)，享受學(xué)習(xí)，我們每天都會(huì)變得更加聰明。有時(shí)候我們很難觀察到自己每一天的進(jìn)步，但是當(dāng)你讀的越多，談?wù)撃阏趯W(xué)習(xí)的東西，用善良和真理填補(bǔ)你的思想，你就會(huì)越來越自信，從而過上美好的生活。

* Report Cards. Term 2 Report cards will be printed for students on January 10, 2019.

* Honor Ceremony for Term 2. Students will be recognized on Sunday, January 13 from 7:00–7:45 PM at RDFIS. The Honor Roll acknowledges students earning a 3.70 GPA or higher. High Honor Roll recognizes students earning a 3.85 GPA or higher. Parents are welcome to join us for this ceremony, if they desire.

第2學(xué)期的榮譽(yù)頒獎(jiǎng)典禮。將于1月13日星期日下午7：00-7：45在RDFIS舉行。 Honor Roll為表彰GPA為3.70或更高的學(xué)生。 HighHonor Roll為表彰獲得3.85 GPA或更高的學(xué)生。歡迎家長(zhǎng)們參加這個(gè)典禮。

* Semester 2 Classes. Semester 2 classes will appear in PowerSchool after January 5. Students will receive a printed schedule on Sunday, January 6.

第二學(xué)期的課程。 1月5日后，第2學(xué)期的課程將出現(xiàn)在PowerSchool上。學(xué)生將在1月6日星期日，收到紙質(zhì)的時(shí)間表。

* Class Changes. Class changes are available January 7–January 18. After January 18, no class changes will be permitted.

課程變更。課程更改于1月7日至1月18日之間進(jìn)行。1月18日之后，將不允許進(jìn)行課程變更。

* Reminder: Student Leave. During a semester, up to 8 days of leave are permitted for each student for any reason(illness, vacation, study camps, etc.). After eight days absence, students may lose course credit. Except in cases of medical emergency, student absences should be requested in advance and approved by our Academic Vice Principal, Mr.Manhar Dalal.

溫馨提示：關(guān)于學(xué)生請(qǐng)假。在一個(gè)學(xué)期之中，每個(gè)學(xué)生因任何原因(疾病，假期，學(xué)習(xí)營(yíng)等)允許最多8天的休假。缺席八天后，學(xué)生可能會(huì)失去相關(guān)的課程學(xué)分。除緊急醫(yī)療情況外，都應(yīng)提前申請(qǐng)請(qǐng)假問題，并由我們的學(xué)術(shù)副校長(zhǎng)Manhar Dalal先生批準(zhǔn)。
