我們很高興與AIC社區(qū)分享一則喜訊。我們的DP2學(xué)生Amanda Covento因其優(yōu)異的學(xué)習(xí)成績(jī)、優(yōu)秀的企業(yè)家精神和強(qiáng)烈的責(zé)任心,獲得了霍特國(guó)際商學(xué)院的全額獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。這項(xiàng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的特別之處在于Amanda是中國(guó)大陸數(shù)百名潛在申請(qǐng)者中唯一獲得該獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)的學(xué)生,也是世界上少數(shù)幾個(gè)榮獲此項(xiàng)極具聲望獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的學(xué)生之一?;籼厣虒W(xué)院是世界上最好的商學(xué)院之一,也是最貴的商學(xué)院之一。Amanda每年的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金超過(guò)40萬(wàn)人民幣(約6萬(wàn)美元),總額超過(guò)160萬(wàn)人民幣(24萬(wàn)美元)!

Amanda來(lái)自足球王國(guó)巴西,積極投身學(xué)校的足球訓(xùn)練中
Amanda came to AIC from her native Brazil where studied while working most nights as a dance instructor. She has a lengthy history of community service and philanthropy experiences, one so successful it was recognized by the Pope. She has been an active member of the AIC community since the beginning and has even dedicated her spare time to babysitting for some of our families as well.
Amanda從她的祖國(guó)巴西來(lái)到AIC學(xué)習(xí),幾乎每天晚上都做舞蹈教練。她有長(zhǎng)期的社區(qū)服務(wù)和慈善經(jīng)驗(yàn),并得到了權(quán)威的認(rèn)可。從入學(xué)開(kāi)始,她就一直是AIC社區(qū)的活躍成員, 甚至在業(yè)余時(shí)間幫助照看老師們的孩子。

作為Amanda的室友,在認(rèn)識(shí)她的這兩年中,我發(fā)現(xiàn)了她擁有不一般的能力,而此處指的不僅僅是學(xué)習(xí)能力,更多的是她平衡學(xué)業(yè),服務(wù)和休閑娛樂(lè)的能力。同時(shí),我也特別羨慕她專(zhuān)心時(shí)高效的學(xué)習(xí)效率:“Hey have you done with that application? (你那所大學(xué)申請(qǐng)寫(xiě)完了嗎?)”,“Yeah I have done that during a free period (我那節(jié)自習(xí)課寫(xiě)完了)”,反觀我自己卻得花大量時(shí)間憋出一個(gè)一個(gè)字,才得以完成。
她擁有十分獨(dú)立的內(nèi)心。鮮少人知道的是,在她完成學(xué)校課業(yè)的同時(shí),利用業(yè)余時(shí)間從事社區(qū)服務(wù)工作,教授他人舞蹈等。除此之外,每次聽(tīng)她說(shuō),從巴西的家回到學(xué)校需要飛行20小時(shí),甚至30小時(shí)。這體現(xiàn)了她勇于步出自己的舒適圈,探索世界。
我也相信她擁有的許多特質(zhì)都是一個(gè)人步入社會(huì)后所需要的,也誠(chéng)心的祝愿她的未來(lái)一切都好!

From the first day she stepped into business class, she was determined to know what a great school like AIC had to offer. She has been passionate and inquisitive about business management. Knowing her enthusiasm for this subject, it came as no surprise when she got an offer at Hult, one of the most prestigious Business schools in the world. Amanda's quest for knowledge and intolerance of mediocrity has always made her a pleasure to teach. She was resourceful and always sought clarification when uncertain, before or after class. Being receptive to advice, enabled her to significantly improve her performance in the subject. She has been an all-round girl who has been very supportive to her class mates. Her team spirit and leadership skills manifested themselves in the various extra-curricular and mentor group activities. She actively participated in House competitions like basketball and football. On the whole, Amanda has done the school proud! In GHANA we say 'ayeeekoo' Amanda, meaning congratulations. Amanda, you have what it takes to achieve all that there is to achieve and we wish her all the best.
