早在中國近代史上,著名思想家、政治家和教育家梁啟超先生就提到過“國際視野”的概念。在他看來,國際視野最大的阻撓來自于當(dāng)時國人對外部世界好奇心與包容度的匱乏。他說:所謂“國際” ,是為“他族”;所謂“視野”,是為“看見”。若是看不見別的文化,又如何看到自身發(fā)展的諸多可能?
As early as in modern Chinese history, the famous thinker, politician and educator Liang Qichao mentioned the concept of "International perspective". In his view, the biggest obstacle to the international perspective came from the lack of curiosity and tolerance for the outside world. He said, the so-called" international "is" the others ";" Perspective " means "seeing". How can you see the possibilities of your own development if you can't see others’ culture.
那么放在今天來講,什么叫擁有開放的思想和國際的視野?就是指那種不僅具有豐富的知識、敏捷的思維、精通一門外語,而且能夠理解多元文化差異、面對問題能在借鑒他國經(jīng)驗的基礎(chǔ)上結(jié)合實際解決、改善問題的人。這樣的人,在將來不確定、不清晰的世界當(dāng)中,能夠憑借其勇于接受新事物、善于多角度思維的特點,在未來的社會中更具有競爭力。這種競爭力也被稱為“全球競爭力”或者“全球素養(yǎng)”。

It refers to the person who not only has rich knowledge, quick thinking and proficiency in a foreign language, but also can understand the multicultural differences and solve and improve problems based on the experience of other countries. In order to cultivate students' international perspective, firstly, we should develop their learning ability, independent thinking and the spirit of questioning. 其次,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的國際視野,要培養(yǎng)學(xué)生適應(yīng)多元文化生活的理解力。全球化人口遷徙與相互交流,使得學(xué)生的成長環(huán)境日益復(fù)雜和多元化,在相互交流中必須考慮對方的經(jīng)濟(jì)文化背景和生活習(xí)俗。這并不意味著要犧牲自己的歷史傳統(tǒng)和身份認(rèn)同,而是要求我們必須了解和熟悉不同的文化,便于更好地溝通和理解。
所以,我們會利用諾德安達(dá)全球校園的網(wǎng)絡(luò)平臺,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生具有全球意識和開放心態(tài),了解人類文明進(jìn)程和世界發(fā)展動態(tài),尊重世界多元文化的多樣性和差異性,積極參與跨文化交流,關(guān)注人類面臨的全球性挑戰(zhàn),理解人類命運共同體的內(nèi)涵與價值。
Secondly, we should develop their understanding of adapting to multicultural life. Global population migration and mutual exchange make students' growing environment increasingly complex and diversified, so we must consider each other's economic and cultural background and customs in the mutual exchange. This does not mean sacrificing our own historical traditions and identities but requiring us to know and be familiar with different cultures to facilitate better communication and understanding.
Thus, we will make good use of the network platform of Nord Anglia global campus, and train students to have global awareness and open-mindedness, to understand the process of human civilization and world development tendency, to respect the diversity of the world cultural differences, to take an active part in intercultural communication, to pay attention to the global challenges that human faces, and to understand the connotation and the value of human destiny.
第三,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的國際視野,要培養(yǎng)學(xué)生實現(xiàn)可持續(xù)發(fā)展的執(zhí)行力。聯(lián)合國制定的“可持續(xù)發(fā)展目標(biāo)”是關(guān)系到全人類福祉的發(fā)展規(guī)劃,關(guān)系到氣候變化、經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展、科技創(chuàng)新、民主和平等全球性議題。
所以我們要培養(yǎng)學(xué)生樹立全球關(guān)懷意識和可持續(xù)發(fā)展意識,并鼓勵學(xué)生積極參與這些全球性問題的討論,對這類問題有深入的了解和認(rèn)識。在廣州諾德安達(dá)學(xué)校,我們會鼓勵孩子們走向群體和社會,比如幫貧困地區(qū)的兒童建設(shè)一個圖書館,在長隆野生動物世界踐行動物保護(hù)課程,為宜家家具設(shè)計一個小發(fā)明、小物件等等??此莆⑿〉男袆?,其實都在訓(xùn)練孩子的責(zé)任心與執(zhí)行力,為將來創(chuàng)造性地解決可持續(xù)發(fā)展的問題打下基礎(chǔ)。
Thirdly, we should develop students' executive ability to realize sustainable development. The sustainable development goals (SDGS) formulated by the United Nations are the development plans that have a bearing on the well-being of mankind and the global issues such as climate change, economic development, scientific and technological innovation, democracy and others.
Therefore, we should cultivate students' awareness of global concern and sustainable development and encourage students to engage in the discussion of these global issues and have a deep understanding of them. At Nord Anglia school of Guangzhou, we encourage children to go out into groups and society, such as building a library for children in disadvantaged areas, practicing animal protection classes in Chimelong Wildlife World, designing a gizmo for IKEA furniture and so on. Seemingly such small actions, in fact, are developing children's sense of responsibility and execution, laying the foundation for creative solutions to sustainable problems in the future.
