《Typhoon》登陸《Shenzhen Daily》！恭喜瑞得福國際學(xué)校G10李至開同學(xué)文章見報(bào)

今天是2019年的第一個(gè)工作日，小編有重大好消息要公布！就在今天，瑞得福國際學(xué)校G10C的李至開的全英文文章《Typhoon》在《Shenzhen Daily》的Budding Writers板塊發(fā)表了??！

Typhoon Mangkhut, known as the most devastating storm in 2018, attacked Guangdong Province in September. It was the first time that I experienced such a powerful typhoon in the flesh; it was the first time that I felt the horror of natural disasters.

It was formed in the Pacific Ocean on September 7, then gradually increased and finally grew into a super typhoon. It landed in the Philippines on the 15th, rampant in the Philippines, resulting in the destruction of many houses and injuries to residents. I thought it was just a normal typhoon because Shenzhen, the city where I live, also suffers from typhoons a lot but everything was on schedule at that time.

After watching Philippine video online, it shocked me when the roofs of houses were lifted and cars were pushed away by wind, and suddenly, I realized that Typhoon Mangkhut must be unusual. Windows were covered with tape to prevent the gust from breaking them. It's also a protective measure. When the typhoon came, it was more terrible than I expected.A gust of wind blew through windows in my room, making loud noises and the trees outside the windows rocking wildly. Despite the weakening of the typhoon as it passed through the Philippines, Category 15 typhoon is still one of the most terrible storms that Shenzhen has experienced in so many years.

After listening to the “wonderful music”played by wind for a day, wind and rain became weaker and weaker. Next morning the management told us the bad news: my dad's car was hit by a big tree.Fortunately, the car is OK. After the third day, Mangkhut stopped completely,but in the aftermath of this typhoon, most roads were blocked by fallen trees,streets that once had too many trees to see the sun was now empty, and all the flowers in my doorway died.

Guangdong Province witnessed one of thestrongest typhoons— Mangosteen, which is also the first time that I have felt the power of natural disasters. The 22nd named storm of the 2018 Pacific typhoon season impressed me and felt a lot.
