柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校@家長(zhǎng)課堂Parents Learning about Teaching at BM

在柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校， 我們一直期待家長(zhǎng)朋友們以各種形式參與到整個(gè)BMH學(xué)習(xí)社區(qū)的建設(shè)。對(duì)于孩子們的教育，家長(zhǎng)朋友們有什么樣的思考，他們的關(guān)注程度，以及他們?nèi)绾瓮ㄟ^(guò)更多的認(rèn)識(shí)BMH從而能夠更好地支持孩子們?cè)谛@里的學(xué)習(xí)，將在很大程度上幫助我們共同建設(shè)充滿活力和創(chuàng)新力的BMH學(xué)習(xí)社區(qū)。

This week's Coffee Morning was no exception with over 130 parents signing up and attending the session offered by Ms. Packman and Ms. Chen for parents from K3 to Prep 5 about 'Teaching and Learning in the Prep School'.

本周的咖啡晨會(huì)由我們的小學(xué)部及幼兒園校長(zhǎng)帕克曼女士和學(xué)術(shù)副校長(zhǎng)陳女士共同主持，主題是關(guān)于小學(xué)的教與學(xué)，如歷次咖啡晨會(huì)一樣廣受歡迎，來(lái)自K3到Prep5的130多名家長(zhǎng)參加此次家校共建活動(dòng)。

Topics covered included pillars of Inquiry, English, Chinese and Mathematics with information, examples and videos of BMH Prep School lessons in these areas used to highlight to parents some of the approaches that successfully allow us to teach our dynamic curriculum.

會(huì)議主題涉及了包括探究課、英語(yǔ)課、中文課和數(shù)學(xué)課，兩位校長(zhǎng)以學(xué)校日常課堂里的小短片和實(shí)例向各位家長(zhǎng)朋友展示了讓我們的課堂充滿活力的教育教學(xué)方式。

Throughout the session, Ms. Packman and Ms. Chen highlighted the ways in which the BMH approach empowers students at their developmental level throughout Prep School and how the approach builds foundations for their future success through Senior School and in the journey to university.

會(huì)議過(guò)程中，校長(zhǎng)帕克曼女士和學(xué)術(shù)副校長(zhǎng)陳女士著重闡釋了BMH的教育教學(xué)方法如何賦能孩子在未來(lái)的發(fā)展和成長(zhǎng)。BMH的教育是面向未來(lái)的教育，我們?cè)O(shè)計(jì)課程和教育的過(guò)程是著眼于發(fā)展在未來(lái)的初高中，以及大學(xué)包括他們終身需要的能力和素養(yǎng)。

Parents were pleased to see new methods such as Talk for Writing enriching our language learning, and were interested in the data presented to highlight the value behind our approach to Mathematics.

家長(zhǎng)朋友們很高興了解了我們目前正在采用的寫作教學(xué)方法- 討論式教學(xué)，寫作能力在未來(lái)是一項(xiàng)很重的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力，我們通過(guò)系統(tǒng)的課程幫助孩子做好未來(lái)的預(yù)備。 同時(shí)對(duì)我們數(shù)學(xué)教學(xué)方法所呈現(xiàn)出的數(shù)據(jù)也非常感興趣。
